A message from The Friends of Dr South’s (FODS):

 Soup Lunch and Talent Show – Friday 13th February

This popular event is fast approaching.  On this date, the children will have the opportunity to have a soup lunch at the Village Hall, and they will then be able to demonstrate any particular talent they have.  Mrs Halsey will be doing Quality Assurance in the coming weeks, and it always a brilliant event.  If your child has a talent they wish to show, particularly something they learn out of school such as gymnastics, karate or something musical, they should prepare an item lasting about 90 seconds and talk with Mrs Halsey.

Separate information from the Friends of Dr South’s will be sent out to enable to you to book the lunch; we do hope that even if your child usually has lunch provided, they will be able to take part in this fun fundraiser.

This week we congratulated:

Willow Class: Theo, for a fantastic first week in Willow Class; Alex, for great focus when practising letter formation this week;

Ash Class: Edith, for great focus when programming in Turtle Logo and producing accurate squares independently;  Hannah, for greater focus in literacy focusing on both handwriting and spellings;

Oak Class: Elena, for showing wisdom, by quickly using her skills to tackle multiplying a 1 and 3-digit number; Leo, for  sharing his positivity and athleticism when performing a variety of rolls during gymnastics in PE.

Beech Class: Rosie, for amazing work with decimals in Maths; Elizabeth, for approaching all tasks in a calm and sensible manner.

Our Christian value for the term is Wisdom.  Ask your children about the story of the wise and foolish builders
