Changes for next term
Please note that Forest School starts on the first day back with a new group (Year 5).
PE days: Ash – Tuesday, Wednesday; Oak – Tuesday, Friday; Beech – Tuesday, Wednesday.
Mr Jack Mort will be taking over from Mrs Brees. He will be leading sport sessions and running the after-school sport club on a Tuesday.
Parent Consultations
We are planning to hold these during the week beginning 9th November. It is a real challenge to balance the need for infection control against the need for parents to build up relationships with teachers. Our current plans are to have ten-minute slots via Zoom for you to talk with the teacher. If there are issues needing further discussion after this, you will be welcome to make specific appointments with teachers if needed. We will send out booking information on Monday 2nd November asking for you to indicate timing preferences and will draw up rotas accordingly.
Dinners
Attached to this e-mail you will find the menu for dinners after the holiday. There are a few minor changes. Don’t forget, children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to free dinners, and for those who need to pay, it costs £2.30 per day. You do not need to book in advance, but your child will need to request the dinner during the morning register.
Medical Notes
Thank you for your support during this most challenging of terms. Thank you also to the staff for ensuring that things have been kept as normal as possible for the children. It has been a fast-moving journey, but thanks to the support and good will of so many people, we have made it through to half term relatively unscathed. We have greatly appreciated children being kept at home for non-COVID coughs and colds as the overall health of everybody has benefited, so thank you.

Ash Class: Ellie, for excellent independent maths; Jacob, for engaging well with the class rules;
Oak Class: Seth, for an excellent information leaflet; Isabella, for fantastic scientific thinking;
Beech Class: Freya, for superb work on fractions; Louis, for a mature and responsible attitude to everything this week;
Cookery: Emily DM, for a great grasp of food groups and healthy eating.
Our Christian Value this term is Responsibility. Sometimes we are asked to do things we find difficult. Ask your child about taking responsibility for challenges we face.
