Remote Learning
You should have received detailed information about this yesterday. One thing we omitted to say was that the class teachers, having done the live session in the morning, will then be available for rapid response by e-mail and Teams chat. We are hoping that this will be a way of addressing individual questions more speedily. As with all of the new arrangements, we will review this on a regular basis and make changes when needed.
Staffing News
We are sorry to be saying goodbye to Katie Rayner in the office as she heads off to work at a school nearer home. She has been an enormous asset to the school and has transformed the school environment in the time she has been with us. Our annual Health and Safety audits have been a particular success with frequent reports of no areas for improvement. We wish her well. If you would like to contribute to a leaving gift for her, please either post it through the school door in an envelope or liaise with Sophie Miller to find a way of getting it to her (07962 303921).
Next week we welcome two student teachers to the school. It is essential that we continue to train and develop new entrants to the profession, and this holds true despite the pandemic. Miss Jade Ryman and Mr Ade Campbell will be based on the school site, but will form their own bubble and will not join any of the classes in person, although they will be leading lots of outdoor learning. Do not be surprised to see them turning up at any of the remote lessons!
