Newsletter 22nd May 2025

Dear parents and carers,

May Day

I do hope that you enjoyed our May Day celebrations today. The weather was glorious and the children all performed exceptionally well. A huge thank you goes to the Friends of Dr South’s for providing a superb lunch and an endless supply of tea and cake. Thank you to all the wonderful volunteers who work so hard to make this such a fantastic event. We don’t have a final figure yet, but no doubt a great amount of money has been raised which will go towards supporting projects for the children next year including the purchase of new playground equipment.

The Beech Class children raised £185 with their stalls and they will be choosing a project to spend this on after half term. Thank you to the staff for preparing the children so well and thank you to all of you for supporting this event and for your continuing support of the school.

Staffing

We said a fond farewell to Martin today and it was lovely that he was able to help the child cross the roads for one last time. Thank you to all those people who wrote messages and donated to the collection for Martin – he was extremely touched by your generosity.

ParentPay

A gentle reminder to check your ParentPay accounts to ensure that any outstanding balances for meals and/or clubs have all been paid ready for next term
