Newsletter 20th September 2019

Dear parents and carers,

Macmillan Coffee Morning – Friday 27th September

We will be holding a coffee morning in the Cooper Building from 8.30am until 9.00am to raise money for MacMillan Cancer Research.  We ask for donations of cakes or pastries (no nuts) to be brought to the school office on the Thursday afternoon (please don’t get them muddled with harvest gifts!) and warmly invite you to come and enjoy a cake and cup of tea or coffee with us to raise money for this worthy cause.

Beech Class Residential

There is an information meeting at 3.00pm on Monday 23rd September for parents of any children who would like to go on the residential (w/b 8th June).  If you are not able to attend, copies of letters will be sent home.

Harvest Festival

You are warmly invited to join us for Harvest Festival at 2.00pm in the church next Friday 27th September.  As part of this, the children are invited to bring in harvest gifts beforehand which will be donated to the local foodbank (please leave these at the office.  They particularly request tinned goods, non-perishable items and toiletries.

Data update

Thank you to all those who have returned their data checking sheet.  If you have not yet done so, please return the form to the office, even if there are no changes to be made.  Thank you.

Friends Meeting – Friday 27th September, 9am (straight after drop off and coffee morning)

All are warmly uninvited to the first Friends’ meeting of the year in the Lin Cooper Building at school. We will be planning the year’s events and would love to hear everyone’s ideas! There will be tea/coffee and biscuits and plenty of space for younger siblings to play whilst we talk. We would particularly love to see new parents – it is a great way to meet other parents and to learn more about the school. Please RSVP to if you are able to come or if you have any items for the agenda.

This week we congratulated:

  • Willow Class: Chloe, for always being so happy at school;
  • Ash Class: Zachary, for excellent contributions in literacy; Seth, for superb handwriting;
  • Oak Class: Milly B, for great work and effort in maths; Lily G, for fantastic contributions in maths and PE;

  • Sport: All of Year 3 for fantastic participation in the multiskills event;
