Dr South’s School believes that actively involving families in school life is vitally important in achieving our vision of providing the best learning environment and outcomes for the children in our care. Our Home School Agreement reflects this focus on two-way working.
Your feedback via the annual parent questionnaire tells us that the supportive and caring nature of our school community is highly valued by parents, as is the friendliness of staff and pupils who all know one another. By regularly communicating with families through our weekly newsletters, our website and our parent consultations, we continually strive to promote close working and two-way support.
We welcome feedback and would always encourage parents to come in and speak with us if they have any questions or concerns.
You can also complete a survey about Dr South’s school via Parentview. This enables you to tell Ofsted what you think about Dr South’s school; from the quality of teaching to dealing with bullying and poor behaviour. This can be completed at any time.
We are fortunate that we also have a very active parents’ fundraising team called The Friend’s of Dr South’s. Regular events are held throughout the year and allow both children and parents to enjoy activities both at the school and locally. Not only do they help cement our vision of creating a cohesive community but they are of real benefit to our children by raising valuable funds for the school.
