Dear parents and carers,
Electrical Safety
I hope your child enjoyed the recent sessions on how to be safe when using electricity. The competition posters will be collected on Monday, so if your child has an entry, please make sure they bring it back in time.
School Dinners
We would like to gather feedback about the current school dinners, both positive and negative. If your child has commented about any particular meal that they enjoy or otherwise, we would be very grateful if you could drop a quick e-mail to the office so that we can raise it with our provider.
Macmillan Coffee Morning
Thank you to everybody who was able to support this event. We raised £191.
Clothing
Please make sure that your child brings a (named) coat to school now that the weather has turned. A number of children are getting cold at playtime and lunchtime.
Parent Briefing – phonics and handwriting
We will be running briefing sessions on our approach to phonics and handwriting on Thursday 17th October at 2.45pm and 6.00pm. Do try to come if you are able and find out how to support your child.
This week we congratulated:
- Willow Class: Anna, for always doing beautiful work;
- Ash Class: Adam, for superb independent writing; Harrison, for fantastic work in phonics;
- Oak Class: Solomon, for putting his best effort into all his work; Eleanor, for increased confidence in the classroom;
- Beech Class: Lily, for great knowledge of time and independent working; Max, for great concentration and enthusiasm on our trip;
- Sport: Bear, for great listening and participation;
- Cookery: Charlotte. For a mature approach and completing tasks without support.
Our Christian Value this term is Friendship. Ask your child about Buzz and Woody, and the life of Elizabeth Fry.
