Newsletter 23rd May 2019

Dear parents and carers,

May Day – Friday May 24th – TOMORROW!

I am quite sure you are aware that this will take place tomorrow.  It looks like we will be fortunate with the weather, so the timings are as follows:

10.15am          Gather at school.  Tea, coffee and cake will be available.

10.30am          Coronation of the May Queen, presentation of posies and dubbing of the Green Man.  This will be followed by the traditional procession around the village.

11.30am          Dancing in the playground.  There will be live music from the folk band.

12.30pm          Lunch at school.

1.00pm            Stalls at school.

2.00pm            Drawing of the raffle and awarding of prizes.

Many, many thanks to the amazing team of people who have worked hard to make this happen smoothly, particularly those who were also heavily involved in the Big Bike Ride.  You are true superstars.

School closure

Don’t forget we are closed for half term next week, and have a training day on Monday 3rd June.  The children start back as normal on Tuesday 4th.

Class Photographs

Class photographs will be taken on the morning of Wednesday 5th June.  Please ensure your child is sent to school in uniform looking extra smart that day.  Thank you.

Forest School

After the holiday Years 4 and 6 will be going to Forest School, starting with Year 4 on Tuesday 4th.
