Dear Parents,

May Day – Friday May 26th

May Day is NEXT WEEK!

Arrangements, as always, are flexible, and timings have been subject to change, but confirmed timings are as follows:

  • 10.15am                      Assemble in classrooms
  • 10.30am prompt        Crowning of the May Queen and dubbing of the Green Man
  •                                       Procession round the village
  • 11.15am                      Photographs at the village stocks
  • 11.30am                      Dancing
  • 12.30pm                      Lunch (please pre-book from the Friends)
  • 1.00pm                        Stalls
  • 2.00pm                        Raffle and final dance – children are then free to go

A separate letter has gone out today with more details – please read it carefully.

Beech Class Residential

There will be a briefing meeting for all parents at 3.00pm next Monday 22nd May at which various forms (eg medical) will be given out.  If you are not able to attend, the forms will be sent home the next day for rapid return.


There are a number of events coming up.  Please check the dates at the end of this newsletter to make sure you have them all noted. We will break up for half term after our May Day celebrations on Friday. School will reopen on TUESDAY 6th June. Please note that school will be closed for staff training on Monday 5th June


After the half-term holiday we will be sending you details to activate your ParentPay account which will allow you to make online payments for dinners, clubs, trips, etc. For more information see our website:
