Newsletter 17th March 2017

Dear Parents,

Purple for Polio

The children heard about this in assembly last week.  There are badges available to buy in the office, and there is a children’s art competition (details attached) if your child wishes to have a go.  This is being dealt with by the Rotary Club directly.

Red Nose Day – Friday 24th March

We are keeping this low key this year.  The children are invited to wear their own clothes for the day, and donate £1 for the opportunity.

Big Bike Ride

This will take place on Sunday 7th May.  Many riders and helpers will be needed, so save the date now.  If you are interested in riding, go to for more information.  This is a massive fundraiser for the school and the church, so do try to support it in some way.

This week we congratulated:

  • Art:  Margot, for consistent hard work in art sessions
  • Sport: James for commitment and determination
  • Willow: Grace C, for settling in so well;
  • Ash: Lily S for hard work in phonics; Abra for good presentation in all her work;
  • Oak: William for writing imaginative poetry; Amelie for a positive attitude towards maths;

Our Christian value for the term is Humility.  Ask your child about St Columba and the island of Iona.
