Newsletter 14th February 2020

Dear parents and carers,

Activity changes

After the holiday Oak Class will be going swimming – you should have had a separate letter regarding this.

The Forest School groups will also change, so Year 5 will go on Mondays, and the other Year 3/4 group on Tuesdays.

World Book Day – Thursday 5th March

The theme of this year’s event is Share a Story.  We shall be organising various events throughout the day and inviting the children to dress as their favourite book character.  More details to follow – but you will have half term to think about this and organise an outfit.

Save the date: Quiz Night – Saturday 28th March

It is the ever-popular Dr South’s quiz night on Saturday 28th March. This is a great evening, with delicious food and drink and a fantastic quiz full of brain teasers and puzzles. More details to follow but please put it in your diary now!

Staffing

It is with mixed emotions that I need to let you know that Miss Prud’homme has accepted a promoted post at her new school.  Whilst we were aware that this was a possibility, and we are delighted for her in terms of her career development, we are sorry that she will not be returning. I am, however, pleased to let you know that Mrs Nel will be staying with us next year.

Half Term

Don’t forget we finish today for half term.  The children start back on Monday 24th February.

Our Christian Value this term has been Truthfulness.  Can your child remember about Adam and Eve and the serpent, Jacob and Esau, Moses and the burning bush, Elijah the prophet, St Lucy and the catacombs, the four sights of Buddha, the boy who cried wolf, Holika the witch and St Paul on the road to Damascus?
