Dr South’s Gymnastics Club will run from Thursday 14th April until Thursday 14th July inclusive. Activities will be designed to meet the needs of children from year 2, teaching them more specialised skills than those taught during normal PE lessons. The general format will incorporate the British Gymnastics Proficiency Awards with appropriate certificates awarded as the various stages are completed. The children will find many of these skills are transferable to a range of sports in which they might be interested. The sessions are designed to encourage a wider sporting knowledge as well as a good working foundation for budding gymnasts and athletes generally. The club will run on Thursday afternoons from 3.15pm to 4.30pm for 9 sessions.
Children should wear school PE kit, indoor trainers/plimsolls and socks, and have a drink in a carton or water bottle and a small snack.
The cost (£4.00 per session) is £52 for 13 sessions.
If you are interested, download and print THIS form and hand in to the office. Please state any medical conditions on the form, including allergies, which your child may have, and return it to the school office as soon as possible as places are limited. Thank you.
